First I will say that I love this fan now that it is installed. It looks great and keeps me cool. Self assembly of the fan was uncomplicated with good instructions including many photographs and drawings. I have never seen wiring instructions written as clearly as presented in this manual. One minor flaw that I found is that the kit includes 4 wire connectors and 5 are for real needed. Since connectors are facilely ready at any hardware store, I see no question there.
My real question came when I got to the premise of the light kit. I speedily found that there was no way the supplied screws would fit the holes in the flanges on the upper switch housing. A close inspection with a flashlight showed that the inside threads on both flanges were thoroughly filled with paint. I MacGyvered a explication with the awl of my Swiss Army Knife, first slowly scraping the paint drips from both sides of the holes and then using the point of the awl to clean the threads, all the while standing on a ladder, a thoroughly unsafe situation. If you plan to buy this fan, check and clean out those flanges before you hang it. I decided to use two of my own candelabra plug, 13 watt Cfl bulbs instead of the supplied 60 watt bulbs. They fit perfectly and give out abundance of light.
